About Sending Messages

You can send messages by clicking the Send (or Share) icon on the menu toolbar (shown in Figure: Siebel Application Menu Toolbar). For more information about the menu toolbar, see About the Menu Toolbar.

Alternatively, you can send messages by choosing File on the application-level menu. For more information, see Emailing, Faxing, Paging, and Sending Outbound Wireless Messages.

After you click the Send icon on the menu toolbar, the following icons appear, from left to right:

Email messages icon. Click this icon to send email messages. On some screens, the Pick Recipient dialog box might appear. After you select a recipient in the Pick Recipient dialog box, and click OK, the Send Email dialog box appears. You prepare the email message in this dialog box, and then click Send. For more information, see Sending Email from the Siebel Application.
Faxes icon. Click this icon to send faxes. On some screens, the Pick Recipient dialog box might appear. After you select a recipient in the Pick Recipient dialog box, and click OK, the Send Fax dialog box appears. You prepare the fax in this dialog box, and then click Send.
Pages icon. Click this icon to send pages. The Send Page dialog box appears. You prepare the page in this dialog box, and then click Send.
Outbound wireless messages icon. Click this icon to send outbound wireless messages. On some screens, the Pick Recipient dialog box might appear. After you select a recipient in the Pick Recipient dialog box, and click OK, the Send Wireless Message dialog box appears. You prepare the outbound wireless message in this dialog box, and then click Send.
